Scraps of Love

Hello!  I have a tag art project to share with you today.  I think this would be a perfect gift tag for a wedding or anniversary present.

Last week I made a greeting card with two beautiful Prima background papers and a page of mini sentiments.  If you missed the card, you can see it here.  To make the card background, I tore the sheets of 6x6 paper into strips.  I had several of these paper strips leftover when the card was done, as well as several other little pieces of paper cut from the paper pad.

What do you do with scraps?  Throw them out?  No, that doesn't work for me with large pieces.  Keep them?  Sure, but where? Better just to use them!  The small squares were trimmed off the greeting card background and were only lightly glued together so I pulled most of them apart.  I started with the largest pieces and used a glue stick to adhere them to a Prima Watercolor Tag.

Then I filled in some of the white space with the little square scraps.

I like texture on my mixed media piec…

Prima on White Canvas!

I have a friend that loves white and muted colors.  Here is a canvas I made for her using flowers from Prima's Madrigal Blossom Collection!  Supplies: Canvas Prima Flowers Assorted Chipboard White Gesso Tacky Glue Lace One of the Madrigal Blossom Collection assortments! To start adhere chipboard and lace to the Canvas with Tacky Glue, then set aside to  dry!  Once it has dried apply a layer of White Gesso, let dry.   For this canvas three additional layers of gesso were added. When totally dry add Prima Flowers.
Stop by tomorrow.... for more Prima inspiration! We still have a couple more days left in August.

A walk in the woods with Prima

This month has filled my creative desires. My name is Jean and I adore working with PRIMA.
Since people might be preparing for loads of chopped firewood, I thought this was appropriate.   Tree limbs make for such darling projects.
I created a video for today. I promise I am getting better and will have it mastered in 10 or 20 years!

I added some drops of ink to the centers of the flowers for more pop and definition.

The reverse side is finished to hide the ink testing I did as you will see in the video.  It also conceals the glue used for the hanger.

Supplies:
PRIMA Flowers Lifetime and Ladybird
PRIMA Paint Metallique Soft Satin
Walnut Hollow wood
Paris Trunk Re-Inker (sale)
Kai Scissors  (sale)
glue gun
jute

Here is the video, hope you giggle along with me!

Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for the names of PRIMA product winners!

To our friends in Texas, we are with you in spirit and hope all is OK.  We send wishes that you and your home are safe.
